QUICK HITS – Miami Sunset Working To Improve The Football Program Once Again In 2020

While the Coronavirus is dictating high school football, across the country, we can understand the need for ongoing exposure.

Because we promote high school football in south Florida year-round, there is no need to stop right now.

In the coming weeks, we will have a brief look at the school in south Florida in a segment that we call “QUICK HITS”.

Today, our “QUICK HITS” heads back into Miami-Dade County and looks in on Sunset.

SUMMARY: Playoff football returned to Miami Sunset this past season – as the Knights used being part of the GMAC Independent League to their advantage.

Just four years removed from the state playoffs as a 7A program, here is a team that has bought into what this coaching staff is preaching, and it’s working.

Quality talent up and down the roster – with several experienced seniors coming back for the 2020 season.

Winning football attracts prospects, and that is what the Knights are banking on this coming season.

While they reached the Final 4 – along with champion Dr. Krop, Ronald Reagan and Barbara Goleman, this is a program that will be one to watch once again.

Sunset has never been a powerhouse on the football field, but they have been competitive – and that this what is happening as we head toward the 2020 season.

For the past 50 years, we have spent more time on football fields than anyone in the country. From games to practices, camps, combines and 7-on-7 events, nobody has evaluated more football talent than we have – and as we are in the midst of a pandemic like no other time before – we will remain steadfast to promote all south Florida’s high school football prospects.
