While the Coronavirus is dictating high school football, across the country, we can understand the need for ongoing exposure.
Because we promote high school football in south Florida year-round, there is no need to stop right now.
In the coming weeks, we will have a brief look at the school in south Florida in a segment that we call “QUICK HITS”.
Today, our “QUICK HITS” heads back to Broward County a look at one-time powerhouse Pompano Beach Blanche Ely

SUMMARY: There was a time years back when Blanche Ely was expected to make the playoffs and have a great shot of making the state playoffs.
While those times were in the past, head coach C.J. Wimberly and his coaching staff have now made it a priority to get this program back in that position once again.
In making the playoffs a year ago, losing to Delray Beach Atlantic twice in the last three games of the season, this is a program – from coaches to players – that tasted success, and have made it a priority.
As the approach for the 2020 is optimistic, the Tigers will use those experiences to grow and mature. There are several top-flight football players who more than ready for the challenge.
These standout athletes have made every effort possible – and there is a work ethic that fully expects to be in the mix in 2020.
While winning is a major objective, building a foundation is a huge priority.
