The popular and nationally-rated South Florida High School Sports radio show with Larry Blustein on 104.3 FM WQAM moved to Wednesday night this week for an hour, leading into the Miami Marlins and Kansas City Royals game.
Each week, the program attracts the newsmakers in high school sports, recruiting college sports – not only locally, but throughout the country.
The show gives listeners an opportunity to hear about college football programs statewide from the media that cover them. It also focuses on the coaches who use the state of Florida – Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in particular.
The program, which has been run for nearly two decades and has been rated as one of the top programs of its kind has become a popular listen for recruiting fans as well as high school sports purists, focusing on high sports and the newsmakers.

This Friday night, the University of Miami will open the 2026 college football season when they take on Stanford in an Atlantic Coast Conference contest. Alex Donno, who will appear on the Pre-Game Show for the Hurricanes and can be watched daily on the Locked On Canes podcast talked about the game and the season ahead.

This past weekend, the Fifth Broward County National High School Football Showcase was held in south Florida – with teams from Texas, Nevada, Illinois, Georgia, Colorado, California and throughout the state of Florida on hand to put on a show for the entire nation to see. Andy Villamarzo from Rivals.com was on hand with other state, regional, local and national media and spoke about the impressive event.

When FIU, FAU and USF open the 2026 season this weekend, Brandyn Pokrass will be watching and checking out all three teams. While FAU will be in Gainesville to play the new look Florida Gators, FIU will be in Tampa to kick off the Brian Hartline era.
