Watching The 2023 south Florida Quarterbacks

As we continue to do here in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties is to update the list of prospects who cover this area of the country.

Our objective today is the same as it has been for over a half century – get the players and schools correct so college coaches will have the information right in front of them – and that goes a long way in recruiting.

If there are changes to be made, we will certainly get them done. Please do not make the changes on this post. Just send to This email address is being protected from spambots. As the quarterback position is one that continues to grow in this region of the country, we spotlight some of the rising juniors – in the Class of 2023. This is indeed a very gifted group:

Taron Dickens, Miami Northwestern: Already a two-year starter, who won a state title as a freshman. Strong and accurate arm. Someone who has developed into a top-flight prospect.

Hezekiah Harris, Miami Edison. This Miami Booker T. Washington transfer who had a solid spring – and checks all the boxes. Super gifted and accurate passer who we have been watching the past two years.

Collin Hurst, Davie Western: Another soon-to-be three-year starter for the Wildcats. Another of the elite prospects who has played this game at a high level. Tremendous accuracy and big-time speed. Also gets it done in the classroom.

Keyone Jenkins, Miami Central. From Mater Academy to Carol City and last season – as a state championship quarterback, this is one of the best in the state as college coaches watch and appreciate what he brings to the table.

Blake Murphy, Plantation American Heritage. The good news in 2020 was this impressive talent finally got his chance to do his thing, winning a 5A state title. The negative was he was never totally healthy. Is surrounded by a ton of talent.

Dylan Rizk, Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons. Comes in from Delray American Heritage where he developed into one of the best young prospects around. Solid talent who still has two years in a system that has won two of the past three 4A state championships.

Mahki Rolle, North Miami Beach. One of the players that many – even the recruiting analysts – have not watched live at all – and while that hurts his overall exposure, this is a typical athletic, play-making Coach Jeff Bertani type of athlete, who can do it all - at many positions.
