It’s no secret that when it comes to high school football in south Florida, there are those programs who get more than their share of the spotlight, and of course, those who are hidden.
If you played football or any sport – or have been around it for any length of time – you already know that the work put in at some of “lesser” programs equals what is going on at the more publicized schools.
As we head toward Week 8 of this fast-moving football season, several programs will not advance to the state playoffs or compete for an independent championship. That’s why when they have the opportunity to get their share of the spotlight, they take full advantage of it.
Today, on this Thursday, there will be a doubleheader at Tropical Park in Miami that will help to get players and coaches out there – many who will be playing this great sport for the final time – while others are looking for that much needed exposure to continue playing at the next level.
