After seven games of the 2025 high school football season, the South Plantation Paladins were 6-1.
You heard that right – a program that has not had success on the gridiron over the past decade – was among Broward County’s top teams, and everyone started to take notice.
While nobody was rushing out to make state championship plans, head coach Rodricel Williams, his assistant coaches and players, were on top of a world that this school has not been at in a long time.
While they would go on and finish 6-5, there are so many things that everyone involved with this team got out of the season, and as spring is right around the corner, you can guarantee that every member of this program is eager to jump into the 2026 season.
Even though they lost in the first round of the state playoffs, it came against 6A finalist Pembroke Pines West Broward and it gave these players something to rally around during the off-season.
If things are going to move a step further in 2026, look for the rising senior (2027) class to lead the way:
