Phase 3 Kicking (P3K) & 4th Down University Spotlight Special Teams

What happens when two outstanding special teams coaches and instructors get together to run an event?

The answer is simple. A success.

When Chris Husby and Dan Lundy got together at Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons to run the South Florida Special Teams Camp, it was a meeting of two highly successful coaches with a passion to elevate kickers, punters and long snappers.

For Husby, a Minnesota-based instructor who runs the Special Teams Football Academy, www.Phase3Kicking.com and is the co-founder of the National Kicking Rankings, the opportunity to bring his event to south Florida was something that he had looked forward to.

Phase 3 Kicking (P3K) was developed to meet industry and collegiate demand for a competition-based evaluation platform for kickers, punters, and long snappers.

After months of research, they developed an improved state-of-the-art competition format camp that has produced a better assessment and feedback to compare special teams performers’ current abilities to data from all division levels of college football.

“No more are the days of guessing how good you are,” Husby explained.  “Our patent-pending 'Specialist Algorithm' © is giving an accurate assessment of how prepared you are to perform at the next level of football.”

They are able to individually compare kicks and punts to a REAL college game standard. This will give them the confidence to rank high in college football recruiting rankings.

Coach Lundy - Founder of 4th Down University (https://4thdownu.com/– has been instrumental in the state of Florida in helping to developing special teams prospects for high school and college.

4th Down University’s provides unparalleled training and instruction for coaches, kickers, punters, and snappers.

“Our clients learn to prepare, train, compete, and execute through an objective, technical and tactical curriculum,” Lundy said. “In 19 years, dozens of 4DU clients play in the NFL and over 100 have earned college scholarships, many earning All American and All Conference honors.”
