We had a special Labor Day Night Show as the popular and nationally-rated South Florida High School Sports radio show with Larry Blustein on 104.3 FM WQAM was on Monday this week – brought to you courtesy of University of Miami Health Sports Medicine.
Each week, the program attracts the newsmakers in high school sports, recruiting college sports – not only locally, but throughout the country.
The show gives listeners an opportunity to hear about college football programs statewide from the media that cover them. It also focuses on the coaches who use the state of Florida – Miami-Dade and Broward Counties in particular.
The program, which has been run for nearly two decades and has been rated as one of the top programs of its kind has become a popular listen for recruiting fans as well as high school sports purists, focusing on high sports and the newsmakers.

The 2026 edition of the University of Miami football program made its successful debut on Friday night at Stanford and the Hurricanes came out with a conference win and some answers on what they need to work on to get back to the national title game this season. After leading Keiser University’s football team to their third straight appearance in the NAIA national championship game, head coach Myles Russ and the Seahawks lost their season opener last Saturday in Anderson, South Carolina. It was the first regular season loss in two years.

When Hialeah American beat North Miami in a key district game last Thursday night, the Patriots moved to 3-0 on the season.
