Miami-Dade, Broward Linebackers/Defensive Linemen Are Emerging

Over the past week, we have gone through over 400 local football prospects that we believe are under-the-radar.

At a time when the large recruiting fan websites are consumed with high star-rated talent, we go further and do our research, uncovering those players that are looking for exposure.

Each year, Miami-Dade and Broward Counties are home to some of the top football talent in the country, and while there are often too many to continue to list and promote, that is where we have come in for nearly six decades, attending just about every game, combine, camp, 7-on-7 and other events that showcase these young men.

Throughout the year, we are bringing you football prospects that nobody sees or has the time for – today, we give you linebackers and defensive linemen in Classes 2027-2029.

Among those 2027 linebackers include Jamari Fremont (Homestead South Dade), Albert Smith (Miami Southridge), Cannon Gulla (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Tristian Hightower (Homestead), Julien Madero (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Damani Desilva (Hialeah American), Jaiden Sheard (Plantation American Heritage), Robert Sanford (Miami Carol City), Jabron Bissainthe (Miami Norland), Zakhari Johnson (Miami Carol City), Christian Essix (Miami Northwestern) and Legend Walters (Miami Gardens Monsignor Pace).

THE FUTURE IS INDEED IN GOOD HANDS

As the seniors are jumping onto the radar, the underclassmen are getting the chance – early on – to do the same thing.

Some of the juniors (2028) linebackers to keep an eye on include Ahziah Murphy (Miami Norland), Zion Robinson (Deerfield Beach), Johnny Brown III (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Khavon Gipson (Miami Northwestern), Jamere Times (Miami Northwestern), Leonidas Leone (Homestead), Ricky Carter (Miami True North Classical Academy), Keny Belamour Jr. (Miami Christopher Columbus), Joan Chavez (Coral Gables), Dalton Vernon (Lauderdale Lakes Boyd Anderson), Isaac Forment (Miami High), Jeremiah Clark (Miami Jackson), Malik Mitchell (Homestead) and Lonnie Woodard (Homestead).

Class of 2029 sophomores who have jumped on the radar features Aydin Hall (Miami Gulliver Prep), Caelin Fealy (Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons), Jace Sosa (Doral Academy) and Max Sanford (Miami Carol City).

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN MAKING PLENTY OF PROGRESS

A position that has always been loaded with talent in the #305 and #954 are the defensive tackles and edge rushers, and some of the under-the-radar player in the Class of 2027 ate indeed very much in that mold.

Among those seniors are Tacorio Miller Jr. (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Jeremiah Gibson (Miami Northwestern), Anderson Camil (Homestead South Dade), Anthony Bacon-Monroe (Hialeah American), Braylon Becton (Homestead), Rah'Saan Williams (Miami Norland), Devon Georges (Miami Booker T. Washington), Angel Robinson (Miami Northwestern), Malik Laurent (Miramar), Bryan Pierre (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Ryan Pierre (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Nelson Naud (Coral Springs Coral Glades), Jaylen Thanis (Miami Carol City) and Samir Mobley (Miami Carol City).

Some of the 2028 (junior) defensive end includes Josiah James (Miami Booker T. Washington), Aiden Davey (Coconut Creek Monarch), Sabien McCloud (Miami Central), Isaac Leonard (Miami Norland), Oriah Gomez (Homestead South Dade), Jaden Baltazar (Pembroke Pines Charter) and Eli Rauls (Miami Northwestern).

Sheven Marshall (Homestead South Dade) leads the way for the 2028 defensive tackles. Others in the class are Jordan Roman (Miami Norland), Joshua Cruz (Pembroke Pines West Broward), Damian Gregory (Plantation American Heritage), Shawn Dozier (Miami Southridge), Jimmy Rodriguez (Miami True North Classical Academy), Derick Kuilan Jr. (Miami Southridge) and Melvin Lopez (Miami Norland).

Class of 2029 sophomore defensive end Robert Doctor (Miami Southridge) is joined by defensive tackles Erick Suarez (Coral Gables) and Jaelin Coach (Miami Carol City).
