McArthur’s Impressive Kevin Knowles Is One of The Elite Defensive Backs For 2020

For years, college coaches have flocked to south Florida to check out the talent in the defensive secondary.

For at least the past four decades, quality secondary performers have found their way to the next level and beyond, from Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

College coaches knew that if they wanted to bring back game-changers to their campus, all they had to do was come south and there were dozens of nationally rated football players who competed year round against top-flight competition, which is something that didn’t happen anywhere else in the nation.

KNOWLES PROFILE

PLAYER: Kevin Knowles II

POSITION: DB

SCHOOL: Hollywood McArthur

CLASS: 2021

HEIGHT: 5-11

WEIGHT: 175

SCOUTING: For the past two years, this was a talented young man that everyone watched and couldn’t wait for him to reach his full potential as a high school defensive back.

A versatile secondary standout who could play safety or corner. His skill, quickness, football savvy and leadership came through and everyone started to recognize his play.

His ability to shutdown receivers and make plays had every college coach in the nation watching and hoping that they would get his attention – and while he has impressed during the off season – many who have been around him for a long time – truly believe the best is yet to come.

As a cornerback, he is physical enough to take receivers out of his game – and end up making the play using tremendous ball skills. He is solid against the run, and is always around the ball.

Ask any college coach who has watched him perform and all will agree that he makes plays. Whether the ball is in the air or on the ground, he loves to hit and make tackles.

No matter where you put him, this is a player who ends up being the center of attention, and that’s something that will stay with him for the rest of his playing career.
