It’s All About Teach & Developing Talent At Hollywood Hills

If you follow high school football in south Florida – and have done so for any length of time – you know that the landscape continues to change.

While players are changing schools at a record pace, and the rich are getting richer, the majority of high school football programs have come to grips that the name of the game these days is teaching and developing.

While many are fixed on winning titles and bringing home trophies, the name of the game today – as it was 40 years ago – is to get the student/athlete ready for the next level. On the football field and in the classroom.

At Hollywood Hills, the name of the game for head coach Cedric Golden and his staff have become developing talent. As winning is still important, it is also putting these athletes in a position to get to the next level, receive and education and play the sport they’ve loved all their lives.

Coming off a 4-6 season, the Spartans have found that playing a competitive schedule – one that gives them a chance of winning each week while developing talent is indeed the only way to go.

In this day of football in south Florida, the name of the game is playing a schedule where teams are equal in numbers and in talent. As you succeed and improve, more and more players will come out for the team, creating an environment where numbers will help narrow the gap with programs who have long held an advantage.

If this team is to improve this season and get over the .500 mark, the rising senior (2027) class will be vital.

This is a group of prospects that have experience and will provide leadership to help the coaches bring those younger players along with confidence.

Here is a look at some of those players that will have the opportunity in the spring and summer to improve and get ready for the 2026 season:
