Inaugural Broward Football Showcase Boasts 65 College Signees

By Dr. Kevin Perry

When the inaugural Broward National High School Football Showcase was held back in August, there was a promise that every game played would feature some major stars from throughout the nation.

Earlier this week during the first National Signing Day, it showed how impressive the event truly was.

With 70 young men signing on the dotted line, featuring 11 All-Americans, the Broward Showcase made good on that promise as many had the opportunity to see live and on national television platforms.

The inaugural event was indeed an opportunity for Broward County teams to face some powers from as far away as California, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC.

With an eye on enhancing this event every year, more nationally rated and recognized programs are already being invited along with some of south Florida’s best.
