Huge Showdown: No. 9 Miami Palmetto at No. 10 Miami Gulliver Prep Today

For a game that is usually played on a Friday afternoon, a huge top 10 matchup will instead take place today.

When No. 9 South Florida 8A power Miami Palmetto (1-0) visits No. 10 Gulliver Prep (1-0), it will certainly be one of the top games to keep an eye on this week.

The 4:00 start will give these two programs a major spotlight today – as a full schedule of games will take place in week 2.

For head coach Mike Manasco and his Panthers, this is yet another in a long line of challenges that will dot the schedule in 2021.

After beating Homestead in the opener, the Panthers have a good idea what they have to work on for this matchup.

For veteran head coach Earl Sims and his Raiders, a win over 7A Bradenton Manatee last week got this team started – as they look to get over the hump after a season-ending playoff loss to eventual 4A state champion Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons.
