2026 Miami-Dade/Broward Defensive Backs Start To Turn Heads

When it comes to defensive backs in south Florida – especially in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties – the list of amazing performers is long and productive.

From the high school level throughout college and into the NFL, for as long as anyone can remember, the talent that was produced in the secondary.

With so many athletes that are taught and trained to play cornerback and safety, the amount of impact players at the next level is amazing.

Just watching Chad Wilson and his All Eyes Defensive Back Camp workouts each weekend, you can see so many tremendous players who are on the radar way before the analysts have ever heard of them.

Instructors like Wilson and others get these talented football players from the earliest age to teach them the right way to do things.

It is because of players who compete in the defensive secondary, having a freshman or sophomore leave a mark in their first year.

The rising sophomore class of 2026 has some impressive athletic talent that were indeed on the radar before current lists were made, and while Wilson had talked about this group of skilled players years ago, many are just discovering them now.

Among those gifted Class of 2026 defensive backs include Darryl Bell III (Hialeah Barbara Goleman), Tyler Brown (Miami Belen Jesuit), Keyon Bryant (Hialeah American), Santonio Chatman (Miami Booker T. Washington), Kaleb DeClaire (South Plantation), Justice Fitzpatrick (Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas), Javari Flowers (Miami Central) and Tedarius Hughes (Homestead South Dade).

The class also features Aldarius Johnson Jr. (Miami Northwestern), Tavarus Jones (Miami LaSalle), Wynton Jones Jr. (Miami Palmetto), versatile Bryant Junius (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Brandon Kinsey (Miami Central), Tedrick Lee (Homestead South Dade), Karon Maycock (Miami Central), Jesiyah Miguel (Fort Lauderdale Dillard), athletic Dominic Turnbull (Miami True Classical Academy), Tyler Vieux (Miami Jackson) and Miami Coral Reef’s Kaleb Wells.

MORE ON THE WAY

While we gave you some to keep an eye on, you will see many more explode onto the scene during this off-season and into the spring.

Remember, because thousands of college coaches view our lists every day, the object is to get it right. Also, many prospects at this age play on both sides of the ball. If you see a prospect that isn’t listed, they could be at another position. If there are school changes, please let us know so colleges and recruiting services will know where they are at.
