UNDER THE RADAR: South Florida Senior Class Has Some Major Contributors

As of today, there are many questions about the upcoming season – and while many are frustrated that the rest of the state has pretty much set a date, it’s all about safety in south Florida.

But the one thing that you can count on is that no matter how many programs across Florida get things started, college coaches have their focus on Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

This is where the talent is every season, and no matter how areas and states want to stick their collective chests out and proclaim they are the best – they aren’t! The statistics prove every year that a number of prospects fill college and NFL rosters are from this area.

What we continue to do every day – since January 1, is promote prospects. As many as 2,500 in these two counties alone, and you know, we are NOT close to being finished.

Every day the spotlight shines somewhere in these two counties, and today, it’s directly on the seniors of the Class of 2021.

We once again have six players to keep an eye on when the season begins – knowing full well that they have been working very hard:

Herron Eniste, S, Miami Edison. Making his way over this coming season from North Miami, here is a quality football talent who has been on the radar for the past year. But head coach Luther Campbell and the Red Raiders are looking for some big things from this quality talent when the season gets started.

Lamah Jackson, Athlete, North Miami Beach. On a team loaded with athletes, here is yet another football player that lines up at multiple positions for the Chargers and veteran head coach Jeff Bertani. Was one of the many gifted prospects who guided this team into the 5A playoffs a year ago. Keep an on his play, you will be impressed.

Eravin Kelley Jr., LB/DT, Coconut Creek Monarch. We have brought you this young man before, and talked about all the things he does, but it’s worth shining the spotlight back on this defensive standout who has a chance to be very special this coming season for the Knights and head coach Dante Lombardi. This is a playmaker who has a motor that simply does not stop. There are plenty of quality pieces in place for this coming season.

Vinny Pagano, WR/RB, Davie University School. Yet another under-the-radar football talent that head coach Daniel Luque and the Sharks have on the roster. This is truly an elite football talent who is following in the footsteps of his older brother who also was a hidden gem last year. No matter where you put him, he will get the job done and continue to be a tremendous teammate, willing to do what is necessary this coming season. Also gets it done in the classroom.

Keith Rogers, OLB/SS, Homestead. Yet another big time football talent from Exit 1, and the more you watch him play, you are sold by all the things that he can do on the defensive side of the ball for first year head coach Phil Simpson and the Broncos. Yes sir, another quality football talent who has the chance to be very special when the 2020 season gets started. A very versatile performer for a team that will be much improved.

Mark Trana, LB/LS, Coral Springs Taravella. Talk about under the radar prospects, here is a talented linebacker who is starting to get some recognition for all he brings to the table for head coach Charles Hafley and the Trojans. Solid playmaker who is also a very impressive long snapper. We have kept him in the spotlight because he deserves to be there. College coaches have been slowed this off season, but need to explore talented young men like this.
